Tempered glass (subjected to special heat treatment) is typically used for greenhouse roofing glazing. It is resistant to temperature fluctuations and has higher impact strength. When broken, this glass shatters into small fragments, eliminating the risk of injury to greenhouse workers and preventing crop loss in case of roof damage due to external impacts.
